“ Shutters is one of those long time highly thought of businesses in Sylvania. They are known for their quality, fresh vegetables and meat department added with an outstanding bakery and deli. For a smaller store they offer a nice variety of products. What I like most is the small town fell I get when I shop there. ”

Whether you're looking for fresh meat, homemade potato salad, Tiger Bakery items, or a grab-and-go meal--they have it all. We're big fans of their fresh produce and the deli counter (the help is often busy, so be patient). Jim Sautter goes out of his way to ensure a wide choice of fine wine and micro beers you won't find in most groceries. Checking out is fast and pleasant. I like to get in the lane with their friendly long-term bagger, she always has a smile and works really hard to brighten the experience. ”

“ I love Sautter's Market! Whenever I need potato salad, this is where I head, as it's absolutely delicious and saves me the trouble of making it myself. I've brought it to cookouts and consistently get rave reviews. Also, if you ask for a portion more than 3lbs, it comes in a perfect plastic bowl with a cover! The people at the deli are also super friendly and allow you to taste the salads. By the way, their chicken salad is also delicious. If you ever crave homemade chicken noodle soup, it's absolutely amazing. I haven't tried the other soups but they all look fantastic. This store also carries items you might not find elsewhere (e.g., Kasia's potato pancakes and pierogi varieties by Kasia in the frozen food section). They also carry a special liverwurst that my mom likes as well as "turkey parts" and bones to use as a homemade soup base. The ambiance of the store is very quaint and all staff members I've encountered have been very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Sautter's for a welcome change from the larger grocery stores. ”
